In this week Quiz 25, Question 2 answer could also be an indirect fee kick according to Page 114 of the 2019/20 LOTG book. The question is not clear as to where the offended player near the goal post was, but because the question said the player that committed the offense left the field to commit the kicking offense, I took that the offended player was off the field too. I initially answered indirect free kick. Under Restart of play after fouls and misconduct ; “If an offense is committed outside the field of play by a player against a player, substitute, substituted player or team official of their own team, play is restarted with an indirect free kick on the boundary line closest to where the offense occurred.” Just my thoughts

hi William, the LOTG part you quote says already “of their own team”. The question says: opponent. So it can not be an indirect free kick in this situation. Hopefully that clears things up for you.
